We went to a local Christmas Tree Farm for the second year in a row. It is a really beautiful piece of property decorated so cute for the holidays. We grabbed some sandwiches and met our Kurtz friends there for lunch and a little tree hunting. We love the Kurtz's and pray for many more days to hang out with them.

Our tree was the smaller one on the lot. The only reason they tagged it was because it was too close to another tree and they couldn't grow together. It had our name all over it.Timber!!!We got a few chuckles from the staff as everyone around us is dragging up there five, six, and seven foot tree and here comes our three year old dragging out tiny tree up to pay. Here at camp, we occasionally have groups rent a bounce house or two, and the staff (and their families - especially the kids) see this as an added bonus or perk of living on camp. So when the group is done, or at lunch we slip over to the lawn and have our own private jump party.

At 3 o'clock the day before the Fourth of July (our biggest day on camp), septic started "bubbling up" on the main field at camp. We went to Stanford last week to do a barium dye test on Selah's esophagus and make sure it did not need it to be stretched before she starts eating solids in the next few months. The test went great, they could barely even tell where the surgery had been. We go in a few weeks for a debrief and hopefully hear we do not need to come back anytime soon. What an amazing blessing this has all been.

The billy ruben counts are down and they have moved her out from under the heat lamp! YAHHOOOO! We are now allowed to hold her as much as we want. We are also allowed to pick her up without a nurses assistance. They have taken another IV out, so she is down to one IV in her foot and one tube in her nose. The Doctors started out the day with an ex-ray that determined that the drain tube from surgery could be removed. They also pulled out one of the three remaining Iv's. Selah was in surgery from 1:30 pm to 6:00pm on Monday. She was a real trooper! The piece missing from the esophagus was minimal so the repair went well. In fact, they were able to do the surgery laproscopicly minimizing scaring and tissue damage. She is recovering and resting well. The expected breathing tube was removed shortly after the surgery putting her ahead of the game-LETS HEAR IT

Basically, Selah was born with an esophagus that is in two pieces and does not allow food to make it to the stomach. She also has an extra passageway that connects the lungs to the stomach. This would allow liquids from the stomach to go into the lungs and cause major problems. While she is doing great and very stable, she will need surgery to repair these defects so that she can live a normal

My sister and her family moved to Coronado island in September. We got to go down for a weekend in early November, My parents got to come out also. It is nice to have family out on this side of the country. We are trying to get the rest to follow but I don't think they are buying into our big idea! We got to go to the zoo while we were there. We spent the day up at Wilder Ranch for there annual harvest fest. They have a original home stead in side the state park. We feasted on hand churned pumpkin ice cream and played with the animals. Ocean enjoyed dancing to the blue grass bands.

We decided to go for a hike at Fall Creek the other day. Ocean did not want to ride in the pack, so we got to carry her for about four miles. We hiked in to the limb kilns and hung out for a snack, then headed home for a much needed nap.

Today we CELEBRATE our beautiful OCEAN who is turning 2!! We actually did the party think on Sunday at a nearby park complete with grilling and homemade ice cream - southern style!! I helped Grammy make this very fun "Ice Cream Cone" themed cake complete with ice cream cone shaped bowls to eat the homemade ice cream out of. It's fun turning 2!!

We were invited to a party at our nextdoor neighbors house, complete with decorations, great food, bubbles, eggs to dye, cute party favors, and of course lots of sugar! We had a great time as six of MS's children attended (along with their family members). I have always felt blessed to be apart of this community and that only keeps growing as we now enter into the younger part of this community.

Bobo's hair was getting out of control so Ocean and I decided it was time to give him a haircut. We thought a mohawk seemed appropriate. The only thing is that now when O sees Bobo, she grabs her hair and says "I want haircut." I have this bad feeling that one day she will get a hold of some scissors and try it on herself...

Meet the newest addition to the Anderson Family... Bobo. Amazingly enough, Bobo's hair grows about 1/2 inch EVERY DAY!! On Sunday, we ran up the coast with some friends to Ana Nuevo State Park to see the elephant seals. Despite the dreary weather we had a great time hiking the trails and hanging out with the seals. We were able to get about 25 feet from a few of them. Most of them were "night-night" as Ocean would say. Being that it was past season, we did not get too much action between the seals. The females
