I finally got a hold of a picture of the cake I did for my sister's wedding. For those of you who were so kindly interested...here it is! It was quite a bit more work than anticipated due to some oven issues, but I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

The New Work Schedule
As some of you may or may not know, Josh and I started a new work schedule on Monday. For about 6 weeks to 3 months, we will both be working part-time and staying home with Ocean part-time. I (Robyn) am working in the mornings in the Main Office at camp to fill in for the regular office manager who is out on sick leave. Josh and I swap at 12:30pm and he heads off to his regularly scheduled maintenance stuff while I then stay home with O. We have actually joked about doing this since Ocean was born and now here we are with the chance to do it for a short time. I must say I am in heaven right now as I go to work with adults in the morning, come home just as Ocean is going down for her nap, hang out with O for a few hours on my own and then Josh comes home. For the next few weeks, I don't have to think about what to feed anyone for breakfast or lunch - whaooo! And not to mention the great opportunity this is for Josh and Ocean to have some great one on one daddy/daughter time.
But I must say, the best part is when I am leaving for work and Ocean says "work mommy?" i say "yes." Then she says, "kiss?" and puckers her lips as she lays a wet one on my face, and then says, "hug?" with her arms open wide. I never really got that before...I was never going anywhere without her.

Ana Nuevo State Park
On Sunday, we ran up the coast with some friends to Ana Nuevo State Park to see the elephant seals. Despite the dreary weather we had a great time hiking the trails and hanging out with the seals. We were able to get about 25 feet from a few of them. Most of them were "night-night" as Ocean would say. Being that it was past season, we did not get too much action between the seals. The females were very tired and had lost 1/3 their body weight from giving birth and nursing the past four weeks; and not many males were left. Mostly we saw "weaners" - those pups that had finished nursing and had "weaned" themselves from the mothers.
For those of you who haven't visited in awhile, we want to take you there when you come!!!

Meg and Kyle's Wedding
But in the end, I think it turned out nice. As soon as I get a picture I will post it.
